Over the past 10 years, through its own social responsibility programs, Comtim Romania has invested resources and encouraged students in the communities where it operates to adopt healthy eating habits and a balanced lifestyle. Comtim Romania is a constant advocate for healthy eating education, organizing workshops both in person and online (during the pandemic), featuring special guests and volunteers who share valuable knowledge.
This year as well, Comtim Romania volunteers organized a new food education workshop for the benefit of 43 students in grades 3 and 4 at Parța Secondary School. The students explored the fundamental rules of a healthy diet, the role of balanced nutrition in the harmonious development of children and adults, and how to avoid food waste. To reinforce their knowledge, the course was followed by a practical exercise.
For the third consecutive year, the program organized by Comtim Romania was supported by Carrefour, as part of the “Food Transition Pact” partnership initiated by the French retailer. Through this partnership, all participating students received gift packages with snacks suitable for a balanced diet.
“For 10 years, we’ve honored our commitment to contribute to students’ education — for healthier communities! We celebrate this milestone with gratitude to all the communities that embraced our initiative,” said Cristina Bodea, Sustainability Director, Comtim Romania.
As a leader in the food industry and in the sustainable production of pork, Comtim Romania believes that social responsibility is a central part of our mission to provide “Good Food. Responsibly.” We are committed to the development of the communities in which we operate, and through more than 13 social responsibility programs, we strive to make a positive difference in the world around us.
