A new beginning, a bold vision
Comtim Romania takes over and modernizes the former Comtim, one of the largest pig farming complexes in Europe.
A massive investment process begins to bring farms up to international biosecurity and animal welfare standards. New greenfield farms, a compound feed mill, and a rendering plant for animal by-products are built.
Launch of the Farmer-Partner Program
Comtim Romania expands its network of collaborators through partnerships with local farmers, offering them expertise and access to a sustainable business model.
The increase in the number of farms integrated into the production circuit ensures stable and high-quality production.
Growth and consolidation
The modernization process of the farms is completed, and the most advanced pig raising and finishing technologies are implemented across 14 fully operational farms.
The integrated production chain is optimized, from animal raising to meat processing, focusing on safety and product traceability.
Investments in technology and sustainable production
We invested heavily in modern equipment and efficient production technologies, implementing advanced animal welfare standards and strict biosecurity policies.
National leader in the pork industry
Comtim Romania reaches over 1 million pigs sold annually, becoming the largest producer in Romania.
New initiatives are launched for environmental protection, such as responsible resource management and the promotion of organic fertilizers in agriculture.
New production capacities for processed meat
In 2019, Elit Company, one of the most important processed meat producers in Romania, joins the group's investments, followed by the acquisition of Goodies Meat Production in 2023.
A new era of performance and sustainability
Comtim Romania, signatory of the EU Code of Conduct for Responsible Food Business and Marketing Practices and of the Diversity Charter, reaffirms its commitment to sustainable and ethical business development.
