Solidarity with the Medical System

Funding line made available by Comtim Romania to support medical projects in need of financial assistance.

Through the social responsibility program “In Solidarity with the Healthcare System,” Comtim Romania aims to restore hope to patients and their families in a medical system capable of providing diagnosis, necessary treatment, and safety. Comtim Romania will offer, through partnerships with extraordinary people in white coats, an extra chance to families facing difficult life situations.

The program is open to funding both public medical institutions and associations/NGOs whose field of activity includes medical assistance or improving the living conditions of people suffering from various medical conditions. These entities can receive financial support from the company for the implementation of various projects in the medical field.

Over 2.14 million lei invested in the development of public healthcare infrastructure in Timiș and Arad counties

21 public medical institutions (regional, municipal, local hospitals) and NGOs providing assistance have been funded

Over 352,200 patients have benefited from improved medical infrastructure

Over 1,300 medical professionals involved in the implementation of the projects

In December 2020, Comtim Romania funded 21 medical projects worth 280,000 euros, within the social responsibility program dedicated to supporting hospitals and medical institutions. The new funding program by Comtim Romania was accessible to public medical and healthcare institutions (regional, municipal, local hospitals), NGOs that have stipulated in their statute the objective of providing medical assistance or improving the living conditions of people suffering from various medical conditions, as well as public elderly care centers whose daily activity involves the use of medical equipment.

The following beneficiaries were selected:

Asociația Ambulanță Timiș – equipping the COVID Dispatch Center with high-performance computers, as needed;

Asociația Împreună pentru Spitalul Clinic CF Timișoara – equipping the wards of the Cai Ferate Clinical Hospital Timișoara with 50 medical mattresses, 50 medical bedside tables, and 10 treatment trolleys;

Asociația Non-Profit pentru A.T.I. "Aurel Mogoșanu" – equipping the ICU Clinic of the Timișoara County Clinical Hospital with several devices capable of delivering high-flow oxygen therapy;

Asociația Non-profit de Urologie Prof. Dr. Petru Drăgan – acquisition of various modern equipment for minimally invasive urological surgery at the Urology Clinic Timișoara;

Asociația Oncohelp – equipping with the necessary devices for radiotherapy treatments within the Outpatient Clinic for Radiotherapy Services and the Radiotherapy Laboratory;

Asociația Psihiatrică Timișoara – acquisition of various specialized medical equipment for the Timișoara Psychiatry Clinic;

Asociația Școala Mamei Junior – equipping with specialized medical equipment for the Recovery Center for Children with Disabilities;

Asociația Urgentim – acquisition of various medical equipment for the UPU-SMURD Timișoara unit within the Emergency Reception Unit of the Timișoara County Emergency Clinical Hospital;

Cristian Șerban Medical Center for Evaluation and Recovery for Children and Youth – equipping with ophthalmology medical equipment for hospitalized patients;

Caritas Federation – Hospice Palliative Care Center Timișoara – acquisition of an oxygen concentrator for people hospitalized in the center;

Profilaxis Medical Aid Foundation Timișoara – development and implementation of the Pandemic Controller platform in the context of COVID-19;

Timișoara Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases – equipping with cardiac defibrillators and other specialized medical equipment for the Electrophysiology Department;

Save the Children Organization – Timișoara branch – acquisition of a mobile radiology device for the “Louis Țurcanu” Emergency Clinical Hospital for Children in Timișoara.

Gătaia Psychiatry Hospital – equipping Pavilion 28 of the hospital with the necessary equipment for proper daily activity;

Arad County Emergency Clinical Hospital – renovation of the patients' changing rooms, renovation of medical staff locker rooms, and replacement of the antibacterial medical linoleum with a new one;

"Pius Brînzeu" Timișoara County Emergency Clinical Hospital (Red Zone Department – Casa Austria, Neurosurgery Clinic, Plastic Surgery Department – Casa Austria, ICU-OG-Bega Department, Pediatric ICU Department Bega, I Surgery Clinic, Delivery Room Department, Psychiatry Department I of the "Eduard Pamfil" Psychiatric Clinic Timișoara, Hemodialysis Center, and Clinical Obstetrics-Gynecology Department I) – acquisition of specialized medical equipment and protective gear for staff, according to the needs of the hospital's departments and units;

Timișoara Municipal Emergency Clinical Hospital – development of the clinical capacity of the neonatology department of the Odobescu Maternity by acquiring an open incubator for newborn care;

Dr. Karl Diel Jimbolia Hospital – equipping the hospital with various medical equipment and devices (radiolucent hydraulic stretchers, vital signs monitors, newborn transport incubator);

Dr. Teodor Andrei Lugoj Municipal Hospital – acquisition of a Biobase PCR Hood for handling samples in a sterile environment (SARS-CoV-2 tests);

Ineu Town Hospital – equipping with medical equipment, complete arthroscopy tower for the Orthopedics-Traumatology Department;

Sânnicolau-Mare Town Hospital – equipping with a surgical lamp for the operating room, essential for the success of surgical procedures at the hospital.
