Food for Souls

Comtim Romania is the initiator of the “Food for the Soul” program, aimed at supporting socially vulnerable families within communities facing food insecurity, in collaboration with partner organizations (NGOs, churches, child and elderly protection services, etc.). As part of this program, Comtim-branded meat products are donated free of charge by our company.

Since 2009, we have provided over 1,000,000 free meals in partnership with 45 NGOs.

Through this program, our company offers Comtim-branded meat products free of charge, thus contributing to the daily nutrition of individuals in situations of social risk. In this way, the beneficiaries' daily meals are supplemented with an essential source of high-quality animal protein, necessary for a balanced diet — a fundamental requirement for health and harmonious development.

With the help of volunteers, Comtim products are offered either as a hot meal (through social canteens, day centers, hospitals, or orphanages), or by providing packaged fresh meat, in cases where the partner NGO does not have its own canteen.

To date, the organizations that have benefited from this program include: the Social Canteen in Timișoara, the “Constantin and Elena” Day Center, the General Directorate of Social Assistance for Child Protection, the Christian Association “Jesus, the Hope of Romania,” the Caritas Federation of the Diocese of Timișoara through its centers: Casa Mama și Copil, the “Parter Jordan” Night Shelter, and the “Casa Maria of the Apostles” Women’s Shelter, the “Rudolf Walter” Foundation, the “Mana” Association, the “Timișoara ’89” Foundation, the “Pentru Voi” Foundation, and the “Deborah” House.

Herbert Grun, Executive Secretary of the Caritas Federation of the Diocese of Timișoara:

“The Caritas Federation of the Diocese of Timișoara provides daily meals for 450 people in need, and your support has once again been more than welcome. Your products have improved the quality of the meals we serve. On behalf of our beneficiaries (children, the elderly, homeless individuals, abused women, etc.), we would like not only to thank you but also to express our admiration for your willingness to help — something we see all too rarely nowadays.”

Laurențiu Timiș, Executive Director of the Evangelistic and Charitable Association “Jesus, the Hope of Romania”:

“Our association thanks you for all your support and for your openness and sensitivity to our needs. Your donations are of great help within one of our main projects — the Day Center and the Center for Rehabilitation and Social Protection for Minors, as well as the Mana project, where 25 people receive a hot meal daily.”
